Shipping Container Security

Shipping containers are used in their millions by the shipping industry, businesses and individuals to keep stored items safe. They are therefore ideal for secure storage and CS Shipping Containers are able to provide a wide range of secure steel storage containers that are lockable and allow you to protect your belongings even in remote locations.
A shipping container is effectively a re-enforced steel box. It has one point of entry through a double sided door at one end that is closed using a multi bar locking system. It is at this point that the container is most vulnerable to forced entry.
CS Shipping Containers recommend a system that combines an insurance recommended high security padlock with a container lock box.
The container lock box is in fact a specially designed metal shroud that is welded onto the container doors and protects the padlock from angle grinders, bolt croppers, chisels etc. Together they ensure shipping container security and ensure that illegal entry to the container is very difficult indeed.
Lockboxes
Our containers are made of steel and therefore very secure. We do, however, offer the extra protection of a lock box. This is a steel shroud that we have welded to the doors of the containers. When used in conjunction with our high security padlock this deters access using specialised equipment ie. bolt croppers, chisels and angle grinders.
Padlocks
Our high security padlocks are specially designed to secure commercial premises and containers. They have a revolving, hardened steel shackle that resists sawing.
