Modular Conversions

CS Shipping Containers were asked to provide a modular unit that, due to the difficulties presented by the site, could be assembled in situ at the clients premises in Newport. Together with Universal Containers in Manchester they produced a bespoke design tailored to the clients exact requirements which he wished to assemble himself on site. Below is a copy of the assembly instructions for the client to follow.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS LIST OF COMPONENTS LISTED SEPARATELY

  1. Set base section in the position required
  2. Position side section Part 1 onto Base section so that the indicator “1B” of the side panel is aligned with the indicator “1B” of the base section. See Fig 1
  3. Using the short bolt/nut sets provided bolt the two sections together via the three fixing tabs located along the bottom rail of the unit. Fully tighten the bolts once they are all engaged. See Fig 2 Ensure that the side of the Unit is temporarily supported to prevent any possibility of the unit tipping over due to the uneven load the single side wall places on the base
  4. Position side section Part 2 onto Base section so that the indicator “2B” of the side panel is aligned with the indicator “2B” of the base section. See Fig 3 & 3a
  5. Using the short bolt/nut sets provided bolt the two sections together via the three fixing tabs located along the bottom of the rail of unit and fasten “hand tight” once all the bolts are engaged. See Fig 4
  6. Position end section Part 3 onto Base section so that the indicator “3B” of the side panel is aligned with the indicator “3B” of the base section. See Fig 5
  7. Using the six long bolt and nut sets provided bolt through both the frame of the side panel and the fame of the end panel and fasten “hand tight” once all the bolts are engaged See Fig 6
  8. Position end section Part 4 onto Base section so that the indicator “4B” of the side panel is aligned with the indicator “4B” of the base section. See Fig 7
  9. Using the six long bolts provided bolt through both the frame of the side panel and into the frame of the end panel section 4 which contains Captive nuts into which the bolts fasten. Fully tighten the bolts once they are all engaged. See Fig 8
  10. Lift roof section onto assembled side and end sections so that the indicators 1T,2T,3T,4T of the side and end sections align with the corresponding markers of the roof section. See Fig 9
  11. Using the short bolt/nut sets provided bolt the side and end sections to the roof section via the eight fixing tabs located along the top rail of the unit. Fully tighten the bolts once they are all engaged See fig 9
  12. Position orange spacers into window frame as required See fig 10
  13. Insert corresponding glass panel into the window frame
  14. Fit/push vertical beading strips into the window frame (vertical strips have square ends)
  15. Fit/push horizontal beading strips into the window frame (horizontal strips have mitred ends) See fig 11
  16. Repeat process for all window apertures
